538st Live at Kuipers Peak

“What is accessible is acceptable. What is inaccessible is unbelievable.” - Noah M. Dorsey

In its original Conception This project “Kuipers Peak” was a video to highlight Kelowna’s talent, but ended up being something way more. Each and every person on set that day witnessed some form of drama, nature, art and community all in a matter of a few hours. It was what some people would call ‘magic.’

From sun up, the day was full of a “go go go” spirit with every person running around getting their own parts ready for the production. As the day went on we saw mostly smooth sailing with a few technical hang-ups along the way (nothing Jake Cooke can’t handle). With the best group of people we could ask for, we were able to film and record five full takes within the window that the sunset provided. It was a day that could never be repeated and the final product is something that words couldn’t express. We hope you like it. - Sam Cooke

Producer’s Thoughts

The quality and scale of this project were driven by these words. The original location for this project was at a local winery’s rooftop patio; a funky, charming venue. Then a thought provoked if we are going to do this, we may as well create something people will be so amazed at, they will ask how it was possible. I am honoured, as always, to work alongside Sam and Jake Cooke from 538st, their creativity and drive on this project were endless. I am proud to have facilitated their initial vision into a reality. I am grateful for the crew we assembled, that brought the vision and magic to existence. - Noah M. Dorsey
