Artificial Sweetener is a darker piece about coping with addiction. I (Evan Brown) wrote this during a time of recovery and healing. The tone of the piece was crucial for nailing because I needed it to be bitter-sweet. When I work with Noah, I always find that it is easy to work and formulate the ideas I have in my head. Noah is fantastic at taking what's written on the page and being able to capture it on film. 

This was shot days before covid hit. It couldn’t have been released at a more perfect time with this message behind it. The visual ideas were driven by the emotion and depth of this beautifully written monologue by Evan Brown. A lost writer trying to find what he is looking for.
