Frequency is a stylized glimpse into the mind of someone battling their inner demons caused by addiction. We follow the repetitive daily routine of a man attempting to go through the motions as suggested by others. However, even when following the correct procedures, checking in with those around you, and removing the source completely, the pain and struggle of addiction are always lurking. When the truly unfortunate aspects of your past inevitably catch up to you, how will you react?

We shot Frequency on a whim after Covid-19 restrictions eased up. We had a couple of ideas on how we wanted to shoot it stylistically, so we tried it and got exactly what we intended, matching perfectly to what was written. We truly found the story and tone in the editing process. The final piece tying it all together was recording the voice-over of the monologue.
