I was deeply honoured when Mamas for Mamas approached me to create a documentary for them, and I embraced the opportunity wholeheartedly. During our discussions about the purpose and strategy behind the documentary, it became clear that the project would be emotionally impactful. In conversation with Jordan Sangster, the story of Celena emerged, and I immediately knew it was the perfect narrative to fulfill their outlined goals. Determined to make it happen, we traveled to Vancouver with a smaller team to craft this meaningful piece. I am immensely grateful for the trust Mamas for Mamas placed in me to tell this story, and Celena's warm and welcoming embrace as we entered her life was truly emotional.
